This book was so important for my family to get due to the fact our child was born with a visual impairment. We wanted him to know there are other kids who have different abilities and born differently. It was so nice to be able to sit down and go through this book to discuss each disability. My son took the message from this book and a few weeks later we were at the doctors office and there was a child acting out. He said "mom maybe they are born different, because we are all different." Talk about hitting home on the message of this book!! I highly recommend every parent/grandparent/childcare center having this book to discuss differences and expand our understanding that everyone is made differently.

Another hit! My kids are always excited when we get a new dragon book. The message in this book was powerful - I found myself getting emotional while reading it to my son. It touches on a diversity of many kinds. What I most appreciated was the gentle and inclusive way the book talks about neurodiversity.
