A Cute Children’s Book To Foster the Attitude of Gratitude, Appreciation, and Thankfulness (My Dragon Books – Volume 56)

Having a pet dragon is fun! You can train him to do many things…
You can train him to sit, rollover, and play…
You can teach him to candle a birthday cake, lit a campfire, or other cool things…

But what if your dragon doesn’t appreciate what he has?

  • What if he’s not grateful for what you and others do for him?
  • What if he takes things for granted?
  • What if he keeps complaining about what he doesn’t have instead of being grateful for what he has?
  • What if he believes everything is about him and he is entitled to everything?

What should you do?

You teach him gratitude!

  • You train him to be happy for what he has.
  • You teach him to be grateful for what others do for him.
  • You show him how to be happy for what others have instead of complaining and wanting what belongs to others.
  • You teach him the Attitude of Gratitude, and being thankful for the things he has, the clothes he wears, the house he lives in, the love of his family, and much more…

Great examples and perfectly written.

This latest addition to the lessons of Diggory is full of great examples of everyday things a child might be jealous of or take for granted. As always, Steve Herman nails a writing style that engages children without sacrificing the lesson or talking down to them. Another great book to add to your collection of bedtime, or anytime, books.

Valuable Lessons for our young minds

Teach Your Dragon Gratitude is another great addition to the many valuable lessons Diggory Doo shares with our children. This book has been a godsent. It came exactly when my kids (5 and 7) needed to hear it. The examples used in this book are almost identical to the problems we were experiencing - from not getting to watch movies at the movie theater ( we have family movie nights once a week), to not having a pool (and our neighbors having pool and kids thinking it's not fair). They really resonated with the story because they realized they were acting entitled and bratty on their own just by listening to story and identifying their behavior. We absolutely love the entire Dragon Book series but this one in particular really helped my children. I highly recommend this book!
